Fred is a 54-year-old widower who leads a solitary life in an oppressive community. His days revolve around religion, listening to Bach and eating a frugal Dutch meal he serves to himself at six o’clock sharp. One day, a tramp appears in the street. Fred decides to take the retarded man into his house. The two men develop a special bond that enables Fred to break loose from his fixed patterns and the stranglehold of his surroundings. An absurdist tragicomedy with a lot of non-verbal acting.
