What good the various life lessons of Cartoon-Box will do us is the question, but what is sure is these terribly comical sketches tickle our funny bones.
With exactly the right amount of detail, Joost Lieuwma gives his seemingly plainly animated protagonists the leading role in various embarrassing, naughty and violent animations. We are referring to poisoning a partner, sleeping with a forest fairy and replacing a Star Wars light sabre with a dildo. In the world of Cartoon-Box, these situations invariably end in death and destruction. Therefore, these macabre life lessons are not exactly applicable to our own lives. But no tears will be shed over it.
