Youth film about the little girl Sara as she learns to play chess. She is greatly assisted by her imagination, in which the white queen comes to life and Sara becomes part of the chess play. Lammers based her début on the classic Oom Jan leert zijn neefje schaken (Uncle John teaches his nephew to plat chess) by her grandfather and chess grandmaster Max Euwe.
