Romantic comedy set against the background of a national strike in the tobacco industry. Exorbitant prices for a pack of sigarettes have completely disrupted addicted Holland. Paul is a writer of tourist guides and one day in the park he is mistaken by the young and impulsive Map for an Englishman. A romance ensues and to keep things simple, he hides his true Dutch roots. They see each other twice a month, because Map wants to keep her freedom. Without wanting to admit it, their relationship gets closer, but also more difficult, because Paul has to go to increasing trouble to get cigarettes.
