Melancholy impressionistic sketch. Seven-year-old Eva has been abandoned by her father and is now living with her mother Marghrita. Every day, Eva prays to her statue of the Virgin Mary to bring back her father. Sometimes her mother prays with her. After a night out, her mother brings home José. When Eva stays behind with him the next morning, she is determined to see her imagined father in him.
