On his way to yet another foreign combat mission, Max gets entangled in a game with some neighbour’s children. Gradually, Max loses sight of reality and the terrified brothers lose their innocence.
When thirty-year-old Max, on his way to yet another foreign mission, gets entangled in an innocent game of ‘war’ with his neighbour’s children, he loses his grip on reality. The present of his woody environment and his past in the field fuse into an oppressive tangle. He no longer recognises the two kids’ dread. Although this tough grownup man fairly unscrupulously takes two children’s innocence, his own pain is clearly tangible too.
