The thin walls between love and hateSeventeen-year-old Leilah, a smart girl from a conservative Muslim family, falls in love with her nineteen-year-old neighbor Berwout, son of a neo-fascist Flemish nationalist.
The often hilarious and at times politically incorrect story is set in Kassablanka, a popular multiethnic district in Antwerp. During the week prior to Black Sunday, October 8, 2000, when one third of Antwerp electorate voted for the extreme right-wing Flemish Bloc.
