Short documentary about David S. Ware, a celebrated American sax player who, at the height of his meteoric career, turned his back on fame and chose for an inconspicuous life as cab driver. The documentary takes the viewer by taxi through the night-time streets of New York. At the wheel, Ware explains why he swapped life in the limelight for a modest job. From the taxi he points out several details you miss when you live the hectic life of a musician racing from gig to recording studio. At the end of the night-time ride, Ware gives an improvised solo and the influence of the racing traffic on his music is tangible.
