Joe Bowie and his band Defunkt are considered the founding fathers of punk funk. In the past forty years, this American musician developed a style that inspired prominent bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Living Colour. This musical documentary shows that the sixty-something is still developing himself. Although Bowie nowadays is greatly interested in Buddhism, colourful friends and colleagues concur in often humorous scenes that the macho musician has far from lost his ‘groove’ and settled down.
