Stellenbosch is a TV epic in seven episodes about a Dutch family who emigrated to South Africa in the sixties. When Nelson Mandela comes into power, a battle for the possession of the family's Arkadia vineyard flares up. In de schaduw van Stellenbosch offers a glimpse behind the scenes of especially the shooting in South Africa, which took several months.
