In photographs, video and audio, photographer Dana Lixenberg and journalist and documentary filmmaker Eefje Blankevoort present the daily life in the social housing project 'Imperial Courts' in Los Angeles.


Multimedia project by photographer Dana Lixenberg and journalist and documentary filmmaker Eefje Blankevoort involving the eponymous social housing project in Los Angeles. The work spans a period of more than twenty years: from the first work from 1993 up to the sequel that Lixenberg made between 2008 and 2015. In photographs, video and audio, the makers present an intimate glimpse of the daily life in the district and of its inhabitants. The project comprises a book, an exhibition and a web documentary.
