Ik hoor hier niet thuis

For seven years, the camera registers the life of Peter, who lives in an institution for the mentally handicapped. Peter dreams of his own family in normal society, but because something in his brain regularly ‘explodes’ that makes him lose control, it remains a fantasy. With gabber house and by playing the drums and the piano, he tries to get a grip on his problems. When the director decides all occupants should live in new houses among ‘normal’ people, Peter is delighted at first, but then insecurity, fear and stress rear their heads among him and his fellow patients.
