A wrongful conviction, followed by a search for justice and rehabilitation: a remarkable life story in which good and bad alternate in different guises.
Romano van der Dussen went through a terrible nightmare: he was in jail for 12.5 years for a crime he did not commit. In 2003, he was arrested in Spain for raping and assaulting three women in one night. When new-found DNA proved the offender was someone else, Romano was released. The documentary shows how Romano – who was only partly acquitted of the charge – is still fighting to prove his innocence and at the same time it shows how thin the line is between good and bad. After all, is Romano as innocent as he claims he is?
