Some thirty million people annually visit the 'most beautiful city on earth'. Everyone wants to see picturesque Venice - but the inhabitants flee the city. Venice is too expensive to live in, real estate is sold to rich foreigners, rents sore and shops only sell tourist stuff. This documentary zooms in on the worries of the residents, who fear their city is transforming into an amusement park. What is it like to live in a city that is no longer yours?
