Aided by crêpe tape and without the use of computers, this animation reveals the role patterns in classical cinema, using a scene from The Man Who Knew Too Much (Hitchcock, 1956). The woman's part is treated with tape to such a degree that she almost entirely seems to vanish from the screen.
