A travelogue about the roamings of a woman who leaves her German husband, a writer, and returns to Holland for a while. Her departure is an inspiration to the writer. He tries to paint a picture of what the woman is doing and thinking. The Light of Cadiz was shot on 8mm and blown up by Van Lieshout himself to 16mm to make film-house screening possible.
