Much praised short black-and-white film from a Jan Vrijman script was inspired by Alain Resnais' classic Hiroshima mon Amour. In fragments, non-chronological and without dialogue, the film shows what happens around a capital villa in Bloemendaal between 1900 and its demolition in 1950. The walls of the house are witnesses to the joys and sorrows of two generations of residents, including adultery, birth and even murder.
