Documentary about a young man who goes looking for his anonymous natural father. Walter Visser grew up as an adopted child in Friesland. At the age of nineteen, he sought and found his real mother. Ten years later, the man, now himself the father of two growing sons, decides to go in search of Ernst, his German biological father. Despite the scanty details about the identity of his procreator, he resolves not to give up until he finds him. Documentary maker Albert Elings followed the young father on a lengthy and confrontational quest.
