The Iron Curtain has slowly been lowered since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 but, according to filmmaker Walter Grotenhuis, an 'electronic curtain' has come to replace it. The aim is now to hinder the migration to Western Europe. In his film, he reports on the roamings of several migrants, the activities of people smugglers and the border patrols on the 'electronic curtain'. At the same time he wants to put into perspective the idea that the West is in danger of being overrun by a hoard of foreigners.
