Writer Heleen van Royen draws a close-up portrait of her mother who is growing demented. Affectionate, recognisable, heartrending yet comical mother-daughter story about the precious moments they share.

In this intimate documentary, writer Heleen van Royen portrays her mother Margreet Breed from up close. Van Royen operates the camera herself, capturing the time she spends with a mother who is growing demented. For a year, she follows her mother in everyday situations and on her trips to doctors, care centres and clinics. Tough decisions about moving and euthanasia and precious moments together alternate in this affectionate, recognisable, heartrending but sometimes also comical portrait.
