TV film in which Marc, now in his thirties, and his four childhood friends look back on their friendship. In the group, each member had his or her own place. Frans, the born leader, has now become a promising politician. Marc appears to be an outsider, who always made video recordings during their 'psychedelic experiments', survival treks or other gatherings. But the group is not complete anymore. Nola used to be part of it, but she has committed suicide. To honour Nola, Marc proposes a plan to make a film about the group; a generation film about the Dioscures of the past and present. However, it turns out that the virtuoso video editor is driven by feelings of revenge. He falsifies their history by manipulating his old video films with his computer. He does this so craftily that eventually his friends start believing the forged truth.
