The Cho Oyu is less famous and notorious than the Mount Everest, but the ascension of this sixth highest mountain in the world is definitely not without danger. The fact that in two previous expeditions two Dutch mountaineers got killed does not discourage a team to make a new attempt in the spring of 2014. The image we have of such expeditions is usually created by the climbers themselves - eyewitnesses hardly ever trot along. After an intensive training, investigative journalist Geertjan Lassche decided to hike along, in search of the motives driving these adventurers. Do you have to be merciless to reach the summit?
