Documentary about people walking around day and night with infernal pain. They hope to find solace at an Amsterdam hospital, where a pain specialist tries to get the pain under control with neurostimulation.

Some people walk around day and night, year in year out with infernal pain. Non-functional, chronic pain that completely destroys lives and renders physicians impotent. For months, this documentary follows a young father in his search for pain relief. He hardly sleeps, loses a lot of weight and is hardly able to play his family man’s part on a daily basis. He eventually ends up at a renowned pain specialist in the AMC hospital, who tries to get the pain under control by using neurostimulation.
