The famous 9 Straatjes in Amsterdam constitute the backdrop for a romantic comedy around the inhabitants of this village inside a city. Everyone seems to be looking for love, except the divorced caterer Daan, who lives in the Hartenstraat with his little daughter Saar. While he cautiously tries out online dating, the pretty fashion designer Katje opens a fashionable shop next to his. Daan can’t stand Katje, but in the meantime is increasingly captivated by the anonymous ‘Girl Next Door’ on the Internet.
