Documentary about the artist couple Ernst and Karin van Leyden, contemporaries and acquaintances of successful artists such as Karel Appel, Willem de Kooning and Pablo Picasso. However, the creative duo, yearning for fame, ended as a note in the margin of art history. What happens to their legacy? This film illustrates the downside of an artistic life, incorporating excerpts from letters and photographs from the private collection. In addition, their son Ragnar, an aged man now, paints a disconcerting picture of his childhood.
