With every World or European Football Cup, the Netherlands are temporarily under the spell of Oranje. Supporter or not, for one summer the characters in this comical mosaic film cannot escape the football madness.
2010. Accompanied by the hoots of the vuvuzela, the Dutch nation immerses itself in the football frenzy of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Fans are glued to their TV sets, while people who do not care for the sport seek refuge among each other. Consequently, the stories of haters and lovers of the Dutch soccer team are intertwined in this summery ensemble film, in which Dutchmen of all denominations are briefly but inextricably bound to the destiny of Oranje.
