Can the poem Betreft het Breskens by Kees Ouwens be fathomed? Initially, director Ate de Jong's daughter refuses to recite the poem in front of his camera. `I don't get it.' Then, De Jong takes her to Breskens, where they casually discuss love, childhood and growing up in Breskens. Father and daughter take turns operating the camera or jointly appear on screen. The various fragments have been edited in a creative way.
