Shoot? Ring? Shoo away with funny devices? Tragicomic documentary about geese. Ornithologists study the behaviour of geese brooding in Siberia, but hibernating in Western Europe. In the Netherlands, for example, where they forage on the mud flats, but also feed on the grass that cattle breeders had intended for their livestock. The farmers try to drive the geese off with noise and gun shots, but this only partly cures the nuisance. Can some balance be struck between bird protection and economical land use?
