Hungarian feature follows the lives of certain people who at the beginning anonimously enter a shopping mall. At the end, when they once again enter the mall, their lives have completely changed.
Forest begins with a wordless sequence in people enter a busy shopping mall, to a ominous, rhythmic soundtrack. The camera dwells on certain faces before moving on. Next, in a series of long sequences, we see these people going about their separate lives. The film ends with a repetition of the opening sequence, which by then has different meanings. Screened in 2004 as part of West meets East.
