Short feature film about Frits Flinkevleugel, who cannot swim. So to make him escape death by drowning in the swimming pool, he has to be rescued by the local swimming champion Truus Vlieger. She offers him a private swimming course. With some reluctance, he submits himself to her lessons, until he overtakes her with a vigorous dash while practising for a Canal race. Only then, he is able to say farewell to Truus and her sport. An absurd pastiche with ironical and at times cynical overtones, grounded in middle-class reality.
