From the first to the last owner reminiscences are called to mind of a white Beetle, which spends his last days on a junkyard.
On a junkyard, the camera glides at bumper height along cars that were once the pride of their owners, but are now slowly deteriorating to scrap metal, row upon row. The camera holds still at a Beetle: white, dismantled and scrapped. But not forgotten, it appears from interviews with its former owners. They all talk affectionately about their years with the white Beetle, which changed owners three times. The talking head interviews in chapters are alternated with the graphic representation of a claim form, on which the animated Beetle relives its adventures. This produces a tender and pleasant portrait of the many experiences of this small white car, which used to be so attractive owing to its "round, female shapes", and which once carried a newborn calf on its backseat, as it did three children on many a holiday trip - caravan in tow.
