The young and talented lawyer Pim Rutgers is getting fed up with his life inside the tall glass office blocks. When he gets in touch with a group of passionate gipsy street musicians, his blood starts bubbling. He wins a case for them and from that moment on his life becomes entangled ever closer with the family from Bucharest that stays illegally in the Netherlands. Pim Rutgers can no longer extricate himself from the gipsies' free and adventurous lifestyle. He bids farewell to the Dutch and follows both the music and his heart.
