Short film, preceded by a mini-documentary, about a young Moroccan woman who invents a way to evade the law against wearing headscarves.
One day, Moroccan Alia is told she can no longer wear a headscarf at work. She has trouble accepting the law-based ban, but together with her colleagues she finds an original solution. The short film is preceded by a collage of documentary archive footage and mini-portraits, demonstrating that headwear plays an important role in all cultures; not just as a fashion statement, but also and particularly as a social element.
