Fourteen years after the documentary That’s why I am working, the directing duo returns to a slum area in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Honouring the motto ‘today’s working children are tomorrow’s uneducated adults’, children received free tuition back then. The filmmakers wonder if these children - now all in their twenties - have been able to break through the poverty cycle. In the documentary, their recollections are interwoven with the reality of today.
