Poignant, personal documentary about the persecution of the Jews in World War II and the atrocities in the concentration camps shows the history of transit camp Westerbork.

Documentary about the persecution of the Jews in World War II and the atrocities in the concentration camps. The filmmaker does recall the curfews, rations and air-raid alerts, but wasn’t aware of the deportations and camps. Contemporary shots around the camps, particularly transit camp Westerbork, are alternated with photographs, film and archive footage, including amateur footage of executions in a camp made by an officer. The film introduces victims of the Nazi regime, but also former German camp guards. An early witness explains that nobody in the world believed him.
