Documentary about the Dutch folksinger Ede Staal who is best known for his melancholy songs in the Groningen dialect. His ode to the Groningen Highlands is famous in the countryside. The song's inclusion in the feature The Polish Bride awakened renewed interest in the singer, who died in 1986.
