Nostalgic comedy about a Portuguese migrant who dies in Amsterdam. After his funeral, he awakens as a ghost and finds out his soul will only find peace when he is buried in his home country. Back in Portugal the ghost finds out that he can contact dreaming people, even though he is invisible, unheard and intangible. In the weeks that ensue he desperately tries to persuade his sister to transport his bones back to Portugal. When his message at last gets through to her, the story takes a strange turn.
