Duska is the inventive story about Bob (Gene Bervoets), who has the best part of his life behind him. He is addicted to film, as a critic he visited various festivals and he is currently writing a script. His great muse and inspiration is the beautiful, young, unattainable box-office girl (Sylvia Hoeks) at the cinema across the street. When his desire for the girl transcends Bob's imagination and she actually ends up in his house, a certain Duska (Sergey Makovetsky) is suddenly at his door. His timing could not be worse. Bob once met this amiable good-for-nothing at a Russian film festival. In an overconfident mood, he had given Duska his business card and invited him to drop by whenever he would be in the neighbourhood. This was a mistake. The mysterious Duska does not intend to leave Bob. Then, an original tragicomedy develops with highly improbable twists. Sylvia Hoeks was awarded a Golden Calf for Best Supporting Actress 2007.
