Droomrijk makes surprising use of elements from film and theatre by allowing the king in the auditorium to talk about his wonderfull journeys using film fragments. Inspired by the film Voyage au planete Jupiter by Segundo de Chomon from 1909 he dreams about visiting the planet Jupiter. Voyage a travers l'impossible by George Méliès from 1906, the king describes how he had an appointment with the devil, how he didn't keep it and then had to keep out of the devil's way.
