A Dutch family with three children leaves the rat race behind and starts a search for a new perspective on life. In the woods of Upper Michigan they befriend a clan of Native Americans. This is the beginning of an extraordinary journey that will last for five years. Inspired by the wisdom they find, they feel called upon to record their encounters. They end up traveling around the world with a backpack and camera, living with indigenous tribes on six different continents. Down to Earth is both wake up-call and a beacon of hope for the world of tomorrow.
