De film vertelt het verhaal over Sissi, een verpleegster die aanbeden wordt door de patiënten in het psychiatrisch ziekenhuis waar ze werkt. Op een dag raakt ze verwikkeld in een ernstig auto-ongeluk dat haar fataal zou zijn geworden, als Bodo niet ten tonele was verschenen om haar leven te redden.
