When a pop group calls for a revolution, you can have your doubts. Depeche Mode agree, as shown in this largely black-and-white video shot in collaboration with director Anton Corbijn.

Where is the revolution, Depeche Mode asks the ‘damned of the earth’ in this modern version of The Internationale. A song with a serious message, but in his largely black-and-white music video, Anton Corbijn makes sure the group doesn’t take itself too seriously. He gave them Marx-like fake beards and put singer Dave Gahan on a platform as a demagogue with dictatorial traits. In front of him, dancers in military attire parade and wave flags.
