Film portrait of five idiosyncratic Dutch artists. The painter Armando, sculptor Carel Visser, choreographer Hans van Manen, musician Reinbert de Leeuw and poet Ida Gerhardt are observed during their work from inspiration to completion. Awarded a Golden Calf in 1988.
