Commissioned by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, this film deals with the land reclamation and layout of Zuidelijk Flevoland. Space has to be allocated to agriculture, but also to houses for the people from redevelopment areas in Amsterdam. Holland is very experienced with impoldering, as is visible in De Beemster. Will Zuidelijk Flevoland be just as beautiful? Van Munster dynamically demonstrates how the sea changes into fertile farmland, how houses, schools and other buildings mushroom and how the first inhabitants take possession of the new polder.
