Can a teacher let his pupil go, so the latter can become a master of his own voice? Conductor Geert van den Dungen discovered an exceptional vocal talent in the 12-year-old choirboy Oscar Verhaar. Five years later, documentary filmmaker Hester Overmars was struck by their collaboration and dedication. Overmars not only offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the world of classical and baroque music, but also shows how the tie between mentor and pupil develops.
