This comedy is one of the oldest surviving Dutch feature films. The makers, the Mullens brothers, were the major projectionists of their day. After their travelling cinema had been set up at Zandvoort beach, on-site recordings were made. A man in a deck chair is surprised by the tide and takes off his pants. Subsequently, he is pursued by a policeman and a big crowd. In 2007 the film became part of the 'Canon van de Nederlandse film', a list of the most important Dutch films.
