Intimate film explores the tense relationship between father and daughter. The daughter is writer Karin Amatmoekrim, who writes a book about her father Eric Lie, a taekwondo legend in Suriname.
In Suriname, taekwondo master Eric Lie is a living legend. For writer Karin Amatmoekrim, he is mainly the father who was conspicuous by absence. She first met him at the age of 22, but never really had the courage to admit him to her life. For a book she is writing, she now tracks the man behind the mythical stories. Will she have the guts to write down the real story in an uncompromising way? Is her loyalty with her father or with her book? The intimate film explores the tense relationship between father and daughter.
