Director Michiel van Erp unexpectedly got hold of three moving boxes full of memories of actor Carol van Herwijnen, who passed away in 2008. He suddenly realises how ephemeral theatre is. When the curtains close, the acting performance has vanished. With Van Herwijnen at the back of his mind, Van Erp follows some older actors on their various tours. Cas Enklaar, Jules Croiset, Kitty Courbois, Sigrid Koetse and Ingeborg Elzevier have reached a high age, but keep on performing. How do they deal with transience? What compels them to keep acting?
