In 2001, Felix Rottenberg took up residence in the multicultural Akbarstraat in Amsterdam. For months, he filmed the neighbourhood and captured it down to its capillaries. In 2018, he returned to the district, which by then was undergoing large-scale urban renewal. Thousands of houses were demolished and fourteen hundred private houses and upmarket rental apartments were being added. What were the effects on the community and the demography? Documentary diptych about the metamorphosis of an Amsterdam street.
