Comedy series in six episodes, with which theatre makers are offered the opportunity to make a comedy that deviates from the traditional American sitcom. In the absurd comedy Kaas en noten (Cheese and nuts), everything revolves around the family of the last Dutch cheese-maker in a neighbourhood full of ethnic minorities. The cheese-maker, his suicidal wife, their Internet-obsessed daughter and a racist grandmother all live in their own small world in an overcrowded upstairs flat.
